Molding the P30 Match Weight

I just poured the first part of the match weight mold. Underneath all that clay and silicone is the p30 Match Weight prototype 7. mold core. Part 1 of a 4 part mold.

I have pretty much given up on machining the part. Dozens of companies declined to quote the part because of a mix of high complexity, and low volume. A handful of machinists quoted way to high. A couple machinists fell quiet after quoting, one even took a deposit then stopped answering emails. I still have one machinist working on it, but I’m not going to put all my eggs in one basket. I am going to build my own mold and produce the wax cores for lost wax casting. Hopefully I can find a foundry to pour them for me, but I have a backup plan if that fails.
